Febru-nado

I'm calling this post Febru-nado because February was like a tornado for us. Clever, right?!

Our little bug is growing like a weed. He turned 2 months a few weeks ago. Today at an appointment he weighed in at 11 lb 13 oz! They tell me he is pretty short though!

There are lots of things happening in our lives. On January 31, Adam's Grandpa Johnson turned 95. We took Eli to meet him and are so glad that we took the opportunity because he passed away a week later.

We attended his funeral with family on the 16th. He was such a great man. Many people will miss him and I think Eli provided comfort to family during this time of loss.

Of course the super bowl occurred at the beginning of the month. Eli was rooting for the Steelers like his birth mom, even though they weren't playing.

On February 10th, Adam and I were able to take Eli to court and finalize his adoption. We are all official now! The sweet judge gave Eli a teddy bear so that he can forever remember the day.

We moved back to our home town on February 13 and have been unpacking for over a week.

On February 14, Valentines Day, we took Eli to the Idaho Falls temple to be sealed to us. It was a GREAT day!

On February 15, Adam gave Eli a blessing in church and we also spoke in sacrament meeting. Eli was so handsome in his little white suit and he was on his best behavior.

And just for laughs....
