Becoming an Auntie

The day is moving closer and closer that I will be an auntie. Of course I already have nieces and nephews on Adam's side, but this one will be from my very own older sister. April 17th will mark the big day! Last weekend my mom, my little sister, and I gave Savanna and the baby girl a baby shower. It turned out really well with lots of fun, food, friends, and spoils for Savanna. Look at that cute baby bump! She lets me look at her tummy and feel the baby kick. It is all sorts of weird and fun.

The best food at the shower had to have been my homemade cookie dough cheese ball... or the cute cake.

And look at this fun game that we played!

Those aren't real dirty diapers! It's melted candy bars!
I wish I would have taken pictures of all the baby stuff I made for my sissy. I helped decorate 3 baby shirts for her and made a baby skirt, baby pants, baby bibs, and baby hats. One of my favorite past times is sewing baby clothes! Really, I hardly ever make adult things!

Look who came to celebrate with us! My dad and my Grandma!

And guess what? We're also counting down the days to New Zealand! T minus 6!!!

Best Valentine's Day EVER! Continued...

I forgot one of the most important parts of our Valentines Day. This activity was actually my idea. We went to the temple for sealings. Isn't that sweet? It was nice to remember our wedding day and think of the day we might have a child sealed to us.

Here are some more pictures from our scavenger hunt.
The place where Adam proposed on February 15, 2009 very early in the morning. I always give him a hard time because he took me bowling on Valentine's Day right before proposing. How unromantic!

Two people madly in love

Later this week... Savanna's baby shower. Abby, my mom, and I are planning her baby shower and we hope it will turn out well. She is having the very first grandbaby!

Best Valentine's Day EVER!

Yesterday was the best Valentine's Day ever, which is saying a lot since Adam and I have been together for 7 Valentine Days and have never had a great one together.

Our day began with Adam surprising me with a nice homemade breakfast of lemon poppy seed muffins and sausage. Both things that I love! He also surprised me with 2 roses. I gave him... a card. As the day progressed I felt like my gift was pretty lame in comparison to all Adam did for me!

It was obvious that Adam put a lot of thought into everything. For the most part he kept all of his surprises a secret. He also worked everything out so I could have work off to enjoy the day with him! Throughout the day he made me feel so special and loved. It made me really want to see him be a daddy.

Another activity we did for Valentine's Day is a photography scavenger hunt. It was pretty fun. Here are some of the photos we had to get.
The place we first held hands:

We first held hands on a dance date in 10th grade. It only lasted a few seconds between dances, but I defiantly wrote about it in my journal!

The place we had our first kiss:

We had our first kiss on the doorstep in my parent's garage. Adam was going home for the night after we had watched The Little Mermaid. He was inspired by "Kiss the Girl".

After we had found most of the things we needed to take pictures of, we went to dinner. Adam let me choose, so we ate at Garcia's which is one of my favorite places to eat. I always get the Pollo Fundito. Yum! They also have delish bean dip! So good!

Finally, Adam had me close my eyes so we could go to our next destination. I actually had my eyes closed for close to a half hour because we got stuck behind a train. But, when I opened my eyes, it was all worth it! Adam took me to stay a night in England at Destinations Inn. Our room was beautiful, relaxing, clean, and comfortable. We lounged around eating cheese cake and Adam gave me a foot and back massage. When we walked into our room there was a box of chocolates on the bed and a rose. Adam says I got three roses for Valentines Day because we're going on our third year of marriage now. Our room also had a huge projector so we ended the night watching a movie. Adam packed a bunch of our chick flicks and let me choose the movie. We had a great time watching Doris Day's "It Happened to Jane", or at least I did!

Secret passage into our bathroom! I want one of those in my house one day! The secret passage way that is, not the bathroom, but we will need those too.

Last Week

"Last Week" is not such a creative title for a blog post, but I REALLY couldn't think of anything else to call this post because it really is just about our last week.

To begin with, each day last week we watched Star Wars. I have never seen all of the episodes... or really had much interest, but Adam really felt I needed to be educated in the ways of the Star Wars. And, educated I was. I learned new vocabulary like Tatooine, jabberwalkie, padawan, galactica, and sith. I have even used them in my everyday conversation, especially padawan. Much to Adam's disappointment, I did not find Star Wars as fascinating as he would have likes. Here is a cute fact about Adam... Star Wars episode 6: Return of the Jedi is Adam's favorite episode. Why? Because he thinks that the jabberwalkies are like cute little bears! 'Nuf Said!

Here is something else cute about Adam:

Adam made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies this week and I am pretty sure that they taste better than even MY cookies!

He also made Cheesy Garlic Swirl Rolls to take to his nephew's first birthday party.

We took a small vacation to go visit and celebrate Sam's birthday. Tiffany is Adam's sister and she made a Super Sam cape and cake for Sam's birthday. She really is a super mom! She even made a pasta bar for us to feast on. Here's some pictures of our nieces and nephews that we love so much:

Tickle Time with Kayden

Sam enjoying his very own cake

Riley eating a lemon slice from the lemon water. She ate the whole thing! We asked her later if she liked it and she said no. When we asked why she ate it she said because it was funny!

This is Adam's dad

Are You Kidding Me?

This week was filled with "Are you kidding me!?" moments. You know the ones I am talking about right? Sometimes you might say are you kidding me... or different words might run through your head!

Are You Kidding Me moment #1- Tuesday Adam came home from the gym (I know, "Are you kidding me?" right?) and announced that he barely escaped getting a $76.50 ticket! For jaywalking! Jaywalking is against the law in our town as well as throwing snowballs. Seriously. Don't worry, we won't live there forever.

Are You Kidding Me moment #2- Adam and I found ourselves at work together Wednesday night (yeah, we work at the same place) and we looked across the office at each other... deeply into each others eyes...(just kidding) we looked across the office and saw that we were wearing the same thing! White Aeropostale polos and dress pants.

Are You Kidding Me moment #3- The end of the month is the busiest time at work. That was this last week and we were so busy. We ate frozen chimichangas for a lot of our meals. One day on my short dinner break I microwaved my chimichanga and prepared to eat the processed deliciousness when I realized that the corporate microwave had petrified it! Literally. Not so yummy, but I still had to eat it.

Are You Kidding Me moment #4- Adam and I were watching a very educational episode of Planet Earth last night. We missed an important part about the elephants in the desert so I was rewinding it and Adam wasn't paying much attention. He glanced up at the tv to see the elephants walking backwards. He was all like, "Why do elephants walk backwards?" I just looked at him and sweetly said, "Uh... it is on rewind!"

Are You Kidding Me finale- Drum roll please... Our primary children finally understand that CTR means... Choose the right! Yay! Success!

Oh, P.S. Are You Kidding Me #6- "Are you kidding me?!" is what you will be saying to yourself in just a few moments. Adam and I are going to New Zealand, Adam's old mission stomping grounds, very soon and we are very excited. We've been planning every thing we're going to do. I was pretty excited to go to the special glow worm caves, this is until we watched yet another Planet Earth episode on caves. The glowy part of the glow worm is actually the worm bum and there is all this worm saliva dripping from the cave ceilings to trap bugs and stuff for the worms to eat. Yeah, a lot less glorious than I thought it would be!
